Rowe Embroidery began as a way to preserve the small, meaningful moments I wanted to remember with my son, Rowan. What started as stitching names and words for our own home quickly became a way to create heirlooms for others, each piece made slowly and thoughtfully by hand. This work is rooted in motherhood, memory, and the beauty of holding onto what matters most.
As a child, I loved opening our family cedar chest to sift through keepsakes, handwritten notes, and small pieces of life that time had quietly tucked away. That sense of nostalgia stayed with me as I grew older, shaping how I moved through the world and my own home. I’ve always felt a deep pull to preserve the present, to hold onto the feeling of now before it slips into memory.
When I became a mother to my son, Rowan, that feeling intensified beyond anything I could have imagined. Every moment felt fleeting and sacred all at once.
Rowe Embroidery began as a way to slow time. I began to stitch names, words, and memories into heirlooms that carried me back to those moments I’ll never get back, but want revisit again and again.
When I look at Rowan’s name hoop, I remember baby breath, onesies with a million buttons, and learning to breastfeed.
When I see mine and my husbands handwriting on his wall, I remember the happy shrieks of joy when we heard, “it’s a boy”. These are the moments I can’t have again, but that I’ll never stop trying to reach back to.
My heirloom pieces are meant to preserve the feelings you cherish for life.
